Abstract

Abstract: Natural lighting and ventilation are seen as key elements in supporting environmental sustainability and enhancing occupants’ physical and psychological comfort. The analysis involved measuring light intensity, light distribution and natural ventilation strategies to achieve optimal indoor conditions. The use of natural energy source such as the sun and outside air supports the principle of sustainability in building design. This journal examines natural lighting and ventilation in Tourist Information Center (TIC) and Creative Economy Market buildings which is expected to provide in-depth insight into the effectiveness of natural lighting and ventilation systems. Recommendations for design improvements or enhancements are presented to improve energy efficiency, environmental quality, and user comfort at these locations.
